Common questions
Per word or per piece?
Per piece is easier to invoice and rewards efficient work. If the client insists on per word, note the word count in the line description so the math is visible.
What is a kill fee?
A partial payment, often 25 to 50 percent, for commissioned work that the client cancels. Put it in your terms before you start, not after.
